Frogs and Damselflies

What a spring!
We have been filming the development of frog spawn in thepond, right through to it hatching and dispersing. Now we hope the newts don't eat them all.
Last year we filmed the large red damselflies laying their eggs in the reed stems. We have found the odd nymph while removing unwanted weed from the pond and now we have them emerging on sunny days. So far we have missed them actually leaving the water, but we have managed to film the newly emerged damselflies and the casts left behind.
Also got to try out the new macro lens on a newly emerged angle shades moth. What an amazing sight - a great purchase.
