I apologise for the gap in my wildlife blog. I have spent the last 6 months recovering from a big operation, and the frustrations of the weather that has had the country baleing out at a rate of knots. Just getting back into the swing of things and straight into some great news:
Local radio have asked us for a monthly wildlife piece.
Starcross News in Devon have asked us for a monthly blog on their local patch.
BBC Winterwatch have asked to use our starling footage on their programme.
Lets hope this is a sign of things to come..
Happy wildlifeing

Wow - so busy we have hardly had time to think. The canal piece is progressing slowly due to the weather and the Quants reserve video was finished just in time.
The wildlife gardening video has proven immensely popular with all the wildlife trusts and lead to a promotional video for the pond installers themselves. Videos and photos on site now.

We have 3 projects in the pipeline and need the health and weather to get cracking.
1) The canal piece is rapidly approaching its final stretch.
2) We have a Somerset Wildlife Trust reserve video to do.
3) We are starting on a Gardening for Wildlife feature for the SWT aswell.
The aim of the Gardening for Wildife feature is to transfer one plain garden into a haven for wildlife. Video clips will be posted on SWT facebook page and our Youtube. Lets get everyone motivated to do a little something for local wildlife. Help it or lose it.....

Visited our favourite tea shop today to discover that we had sold two Westcountry Wildlife Vol 1 DVD's over the winter. Very encouraging.
Next stage in the canal special is to research the next few miles for some intersting snippets of information.

After some serious delays and weather hassles we finally managed to spend a couple of hours on the next section of our canal special. We've been inside a World War 2 pill box and a canal lengthsman's hut, with some very interesting shot angles and information too.
Always a shame to think that so much time produces only 4 minutes worth of programme, but it certainly looks worth it to me.

Had an interesting meeting today with a young lady who is studying Media Practice at University. It seems quite likely that our canal piece will end up part of the class project, joining our material to their new found expertise. Warmer weather for filming is all we need now.
